SECANT Final Event
"Elevating Security and Privacy Protection in IoT Devices: Healthcare on the Spot"
20 September 2024

The SECANT Project successfully held its online final event, “Elevating Security and Privacy Protection in IoT Devices: Healthcare on the Spot”, on September 20th, 2024.

The event opened with a high-level overview of the project, delivered by Project Coordinator Anaël Le Bihan (NNT DATA) and Scientific and Technical Coordinator Arnolnt Spyros (CERTH). This was followed by a keynote presentation from Juuso Stenfors, SECANT Project Officer from the European Commission, discussing the future of European projects.

The event continued with a session featuring other EU-funded projects, which explored the challenges and opportunities in IoT cybersecurity and data privacy. Representatives from the ELECTRON and ERATOSTHENES projects joined the discussion.

SECANT then presented its four use cases, with responsible partners demonstrating live applications in real-world scenarios. These included the connected ambulance of the future, connected medical devices and mobile apps, healthcare supply chain data protection, and cybersecurity training.

During the Q&A session, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and request clarifications from the speakers regarding the SECANT’s solution.
